Stone Flower Mountain Acupuncture is nestled within the Catskill Mountains in West Hurley, NY (just minutes from historic Woodstock).  We offer acupuncture, NAET allergy elimination, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutritional counseling, in a calm, relaxed setting. The focus is on the whole person and their unique health concerns.

The Stone Flower Mountain is a sacred mountain located in a rural village named Taishan, in southeastern China.  It is in this rural village that Abbey Semel first began to study acupuncture with a local Taishanese doctor.  Our practice is named after this sacred place as a reminder of the Chinese roots of our acupuncture and healing treatments.

ABBEY SEMEL, MS, RD, L.Ac.

graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 1991.  She studied in China at the Fujian College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the specialty area of women's health.  Abbey is a certified NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique) practitioner and has completed a certificate in Complementary Cancer Care from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  Abbey earned her Master’s Degree from Cornell University and is a licensed nutritionist, combining nutritional counseling with Chinese medicine.

CHEN YONG, OMD, L.Ac.

graduated from Fujian College of TCM in 1982.  From 1982-1995 Dr. Chen worked at the Fujian Provincial People's Hospital.  Since 1995, Dr. Chen has been working at Stone Flower Mountain.  He has more than 30 years experience, specializing in TCM differential diagnosis, pain management, structural, digestive and neurological disorders.  He has been extensively trained in stroke rehabilitation and scalp acupuncture to treat head/ brain traumas.
